Lifestyle // House of Wonderland Jewellery Club – Mermaids

April 5, 2016

I’m a big fan of a subscription box and was instantly intrigued by the idea behind the idea of the monthly House of Wonderland Jewellery Club box. Despite being called “Jewellery Club” the boxes actually contain all sorts of goodies – jewellery (duh), beauty bits, stationery and cute little knick knacks – my idea of heaven! Each month’s box has a different theme and imagine my delight to find out that the February box was MERMAID THEMED!!!*

My parcel arrived covered with adorable stickers including ones saying “Happy Post” and “No one is too old for fairy tales” – it certainly cheered up my Monday when it arrived! Wrapped inside bright pink tissue paper was nestled a selection of beautifully chosen and fabulously themed treats:

♥ Laser cut pink shell charm necklace

♥ Hand sculpted shell adjustable ring

♥ Rockin Claws – Mermaid nail decals

♥ Magical sea scented bath salts

♥ Sparkly sea blue pencils

♥ Anchor hair slide

 Mermaid glossy die cut stickers

“Secretly a mermaid” print

♥ The heart of the ocean candy (Lovehearts – yum!)

♥ A sprinkle of sequins

♥ Part time mermaid pin from Punky Pins

I absolutely loved how pretty and whimsical everything was – such a fun parcel of well thought out goodies which would make the perfect treat for yourself or a friend. My favourite pieces were the Sparkly sea blue pencils (they’re going to look so pretty on my new desk) the magical sea scented bath salts (I’ve always wanted to try bath salts and these ones smell AMAZING) and the anchor hair slide (a really subtle but cute way to rock the mermaid trend every day!).

I was so impressed with my first foray into theHouse of Wonderland Jewellery Club and will definitely be keeping an eye out for future fab themes. Each new themed box launches on the first of the month and costs just £19 – a right bargain considering you get around £45 worth of products in each. I love that you can dip in and out of a subscription too – simply signing up to one box at a time, or for a rolling subscription, so if you don’t like the sound of next month’s theme you don’t get stuck with items you’re not interested in. The theme for the next month is announced in the current box and you can also check it out through House of Wonderland’s Twitter page – @HOW_Online so you always know what you’ll be buying into.

Had you tried a fun subscription box like House of Wonderland before?
