About Me

Hi I’m Emma. My friends call me Emsy, and I’ve spent most of my life being described as a bit of a pickle (which is pretty much middle class British for “loveable idiot”) – hence EMSYPICKLE!

You’ll usually find me either wandering round London with an audio book in my ears, gazing lovingly at the Harry Potter crap merch in Primark, or sneakily booking flights I can’t afford.

I’m a Londoner born and bred, currently living in Brixton with my boyfriend Andy and our friend (which isn’t quite as good as having a puppy, but is sometimes just as messy). I work as a Marketing Manager at a travel company by day and spend my weekends exploring all that London has to offer.

I’ve been blogging since 2011 about life in London, where I eat, what I bake, which books I’m reading, the theatre I’m watching and where I travel to. I also post monthly Favourites and What I’ve Been Up To diaries, and have been known to dabble in a bit of fashion and beauty too (particularly sensitive / eczema friendly skincare). Yeh, if you’re looking for a “niche” blog, you’re probably not in the right place! But variety is the spice of life right?!

Me in a Nutshell…

I love – Jason Statham, shark films (The Meg was a great time for me), dinosaurs, Harry Potter, and seeing as much of the world as I can. And pizza. Obviously.

I hate – slow walkers, people that don’t say thank you when you hold the door for them, cruelty to animals, and tomatoes. Don’t ask.

I’m useless at – posing for photos (lol at my instagram) wearing white and not swearing.

I’m excellent at – eating, watching trash American reality TV shows and making lists.
