Hello lovelies! Can you believe it’s October?! This week involved an end-of-summer staycation, a brand new scented candle, some delicious food and (of course) a bit of baking…
As I wrote at the end of last week’s #InstaLIFE post and also my OOTD on Friday, I spent last weekend in Cambridge celebrating my boyfriend’s 30th birthday. We had such an amazing time and were lucky to have gorgeous sunny weather – perfect for punting on the River Cam. Here we are taking a little photo on the banks of the river ahhhh!
As well as frolicking in the sunshine, we took a trip inside King’s College Chapel which was absolutely beautiful. I’m a big architecture fan and was in absolute awe of the ornate fan vaulted ceiling and towering stained glass windows. I will have a post up soon about our weekend Cambridge so look out for more photos coming soon.
When we got back home from our weekend away I was so excited to go into the bedroom and find a little present nestled between my cuddly penguin friends – Frozen on DVD! Lovely Toto had set it up before we left ready for my return to say thanks for a really lovely birthday bless him!
Zoella Beauty has been taking the blogosphere by storm and finally launched this week. I’ve had my eye on the Let’s Glow candle ever since Zoe revealed her pieces and was very excited to pick one up in Superdrug on Monday. After a long day at work it was lovely to come home and get this bad boy going! It’s a really pretty girly scent and I’ve had it burning every night this week! Five pounds well spent and I’ll definitely be purchasing another when this one runs out.
I seem to have developed a bit of an obsession with phone cases and couldn’t help but add this Marc Jacobs one to my collection. Ok, ok, it’s an eBay knock off, but it’s a pretty good one and makes my iPhone look super cute!
On October 3rd he asked me what day it was…It’s October 3rd. HAPPY MEAN GIRLS DAY! It has to be done every year doesn’t it eh?!
It may only be the first week of October but Christmas is well and truly on it’s way! The stores are all stocked with festive treats and I simply have to buy this amazing Coca-Cola t-shirt from Primark. Holidays are coming, holidays are coming!
On Saturday Tony and I headed to Oxford Street, and my goodness that boy does not know how to shop! After only 15 minutes he decided he’d had enough so we went for a decadent lunch at Wagamama. You can’t beat a yaki soba can you?!
It’s my dad’s birthday on Monday so I decided to bake him a birthday cake. Curly’s an absolute legend so I decided to go all out and buy some coffee flavoured chocolate beans and edible gold leaf to decorate my cake with. You’ll have to see how it turned out in this week’s GBBO Challenge post….
