Almost good enough to eat!
I am always on an eternal quest to find that amazing product which smooths and soothes my lips, smells great and leaves my lips looking sexily glossy rather than sadly gloopy. I think I have FINALLY struck gold!! What is this wonder product I hear you cry?! Why, Palmer’s Dark Chocolate & Peppermint Lip Butter of course!
The other day I wrote about my love for the Palmer’s Shea Butter Formula Concentrated Cream and how it has transformed my dry hands this winter. Well their Lip Butter has done the exact same for my lips. My lips are quite prone to getting dry and chapped in the winter months, but this has been keeping them nice and smooth, and it’s light enough for spring and summer coverage too.
Palmer’s Lip Butter is supposed to be Dark Chocolate & Peppermint flavoured, and they’re not wrong! It smells DELICIOUS – exactly like a Fry’s Dark Chocolate Peppermint Cream bar (best chocolate bars EVER!) Every time I reapply I can’t help but grin like the Cheshire Cat (and drool slightly!!) It smells absolutely scrumptious, and has actually been helping me keep my cravings for sweet treats at bay.
I often stay away from strongly fragranced products, in case the harsh perfumes aggravate my skin, which is probably why I haven’t tried this before. I was sure it would contain a TON of chemicals and artificial additions, however I was pleasantly surprised to find it only uses 6 ingredients, including cocoa seed butter and peppermint oil! Pretty impressive ingredients too for its measly £2.59 price point!
The packaging explains that upon application you feel a little tingle, to let you know it’s working and I really like this feeling! I find it quite refreshing, as well as reassuring to feel my lips being softened!
This is by far one of the best lip balms I’ve tried in a long while as it actually does moisturise and soothe my lips, rather than just temporarily masking the dry feeling and chapped appearance. It also leaves a clear glossy finish, meaning it brings a bit of glamour which a standard chapstick does not, without being thick and gloopy like Vaseline. Big win all round!
What’s your favourite lip balm? Let me know of any others I need to try
