Midweek Manicure | #NailArtWeeklyProject Week 3 – Valentine's Day Nails (with some One Direction Nail Crush!)
Happy (early) Valentines Day loves!
Ah Valentine’s Day, some people love it, some people loathe it, either way it makes for a great theme for nail art! Which is why it’s the theme for Week 3 of the #NailArtWeeklyProject *shouts Hurrah and throws heart shaped confetti in the air* π
It’s actually my birthday on February 14th, so I usually tend to focus on that more than dear old Valentine’s Day (hey, if you can’t be self involved on your birthday when can you be?!) However, thanks to Danni’s #NailArtWeeklyProject I decided this year I’d go all out and crank the love heart nails to the max! I also thought that this would be the perfect time to experiment with my MUA One Direction Nail Crush “Stole My Heart” kit I bought in Superdrug! Valentine’s Day, One Direction and shiny pink and red sequin hearts – a match made in heaven!
I don’t really like pink nails, and wasn’t keen on having a whole hand covered in pink love heart nail jewels, so thought I’d make a more subtle statement by having one little heart placed on the base of a bright white nail instead. (As One Direction – and their nail varnish state, it’s the Little Things!) I used my new Models Own Hyper Gel white polish, and the One Direction Little Things pink polish for my accent nail, which I then coated fully in the nail sequin love hearts.
I actually really like this mani, and can imagine wearing this at any time of year, not just Valentine’s Day! You’ve converted me Danni! I was pretty pleased with both my new nail purchases, let me know if you’d like a more in depth review of either of them.
I now need to get my thinking cap on what I shall design for next week’s theme – Nails Inspired by Your Birthday Month. What else is February known for other than Valentine’s Day?! Any suggestions let me know, and be sure to come back to emsypickle next week to see what I went for!
