** New favourite polish alert! ** I love green nails and couldn’t believe it when I found this bad boy in TK Maxx for only £3.99 Yep. Illamasqua. FOR THREE NINETY NINE! Mind blown! There were lots of colours to choose from but I was instantly drawn to Milf and I’ve been pretty much wearing it ever since! What with St Patrick’s day coming up on Tuesday I thought today was the perfect time to share this queen of greens with you all.
Milf is a stunning mint creme polish and just applies beautifully! I’ve written before about my love for Illamsaqua nail polishes and Milf is no different. It applies pretty evenly in just one coat and then with a second looks very near flawless! As with my other Illamasqua polishes, Milf wears really well and keeps my nails chip free for a good week when using two coats and finished with a topcoat.
The pastel green colour is so pretty and will be perfect for Spring and Summer as well as giving a sophisticated twist to any St Patrick’s Day celebrations you might have planned. I think it’s a pretty universal green too and even those who generally prefer more conservative nails will like this as its muted shade isn’t too out there, I even wore it to present at a conference last week, when usually I’d stick to a more “professional” nude.
The only negative thing I have to say about this polish, and Illamasqua ones in general is the packaging is not ideal. The square shaped lids can be quite tricky to do back up all the way. Not only does this not look as pretty but more importantly it could mean my polish could dry out. It always takes me a few goes to get it on straight and tight!
Ain’t nobody got time for that!
I love emerald green colours to be honest, this is a pretty colour but it would probably was me out as i have pale skin. emyii90.blogspot.co.uk
