New blog series alert! I’ve been thinking about starting this for a while but as the few months before Christmas were mostly made up of buying presents for people who read my blog I thought I’d wait until the new year to start. And here we are! I always treat myself to a few things each payday and thought it would be a fun idea to do a monthly haul on my blog. And what a good time to start too, as this month’s includes some January sales goodies wooo!
I picked up this cute Balmi bauble with a coconut lip balm inside. I’ve been wanting to try these since reading Kirstie’s review on A Yellow Brick Blog and as it was only £2.50 in the sale I thought now was the perfect time.
I first tried Soap and Glory last Christmas when I bought their festive limited edition lip balm. I absolutely loved it and have since bought nearly all their regular shades / flavours of A Great Kisser. I have been wanting to try more of their make up range but never quite got round to it and my eyes lit up when I saw this Sexy Mother Pucker Gloss Crayons Set in December. I decided to chance my luck and hold off buying it until the sales and thankfully managed to get my mitts on one! (And actually trawled every Oxford Street Boots until I did!) It’s a really lovely set with three glossy lip crayons in – Bashful (a pinky nude), Raplumsel (sheer plum) and Fuschia-Ristic (a buildable coral pink). I got it for half price – only £8 which was a bargain, especially as to buy them separately each crayon costs £8 itself. Wahoo!
I also saw this cute candy cane packaged Soap and Glory Lip Laquer and as it was only £3 (reduced from £6) I couldn’t resist adding it to my basket too. Inside is a lovely browny nude shade Charm Offensive.
Obviously on a Soap and Glory rampage at this point I also nabbed the Think Pamper Set (£9 reduced from £18). It includes 6 mini products and a body polisher which I thought was the perfect introduction to Soap and Glory bath and body products which I also haven’t tried before. I’m particularly looking forward to giving Hand Food a try, as I’m always on the quest for a good hand cream. I’ll let you know how I get on!
No shopping trip is complete without a look in Primark, and I nabbed this set of five festive socks for just £1! Yes I know this was post-Christmas sale shopping but I know I’ll be all sorted in the sock department for next Christmas now!
This was another £1 steal! I really like the monochrome tin packaging of this candle and it goes really nicely in my bathroom. It smells really pretty too – white jasmine and amber. Lovely!
I’m not a huge fan of Accessorize normally as I find a lot of their jewellery quite over priced, however they do put on a great sale! I picked up this sweet but simple sterling silver cut-out heart midi ring for just £3 and know I will get a lot of wear out of it over the coming year.
I saw this watch before Christmas and absolutely loved it! I thought I’d wait and see if it went into the sales (which it didn’t) but I decided I liked it so much I’d buy it anyway! I love the slim white strap and oversized rose gold face and every time I wear it someone asks if it’s Olivia Burton (and I smugly reply nope, it was only £20 from ASOS!) This is the watch which inspired my rose gold ombré glitter tips mani the other week 😀
New year, new lipstick! I have been longing for MAC Capive for quite some time now and figured with the savings I’d made on my other purchases I should totally treat myself! (Sure that’s some pretty warped logic but hey! It made sense at the time!) It’s a really lovely plum colour in a satin finish so keeps my lips nice and moisturised too.
I really want to try the Balmi lip balms too! Captive looks like a gorgeous colour lipstick.Antonia x | Fifi and the Diamonds
