Midweek Manicure // Rose gold ombré glitter tips

It may be January but that doesn’t mean there can’t be glitter! Lots and lots of glitter!!! This is the mani I wore on New Years Eve and I was really pleased with it so thought I’d share it with you all as my first Midweek Manicure post of 2015. It’s super easy to do and I think it is so pretty without being too in-your-face-jazzy!
Here’s my rose gold ombré glitter tips mani!

I used my Barry M Gelly Hi Shine polish in Coconut as my base colour, which is a really lovely white polish. It’s more of a “shabby chic” / rustic white rather than a bright dazzling white, which is perfect for mixing with rose gold as I think it blends a bit more subtly than a glaring white would.

Over the top I layered Models Own Pink Fizz which – fun fact – was my first EVER glitter nail polish. Yep this is the beauty which let the flood gates open!!! It’s a clear polish with really lovely metallic pale pink particles which have strong bronze / gold undertones to them, which is why I always think of it as my “rose gold polish”. 

I was so pleased with how this mani turned out. It added a lovely bit of glitz and glamour to my New Years Eve look, making my nails a statement without being overpowering. They’ve also been perfect for wearing my first week back at work – perking up my January with a bit of Christmas sparkle.
