Midweek Manicure | #NailArtWeeklyProject Week 5 – Glitz & Glam

Diamonds are a girl’s best friend!

It’s a big week at emsypickle – not only was it the final instalment of The London Blog Project on Tuesday, but this is also the last of the #NailArtWeeklyProject posts too wahhhhhhhh! Lovely Danni set a great theme for the final post, to ensure it goes out with a bang (and a sparkle…) – Glitz and Glam! To me, nothing is more glitzy and glamorous than a big sparkling diamond, so I decided this would be my inspiration for this week’s Midweek Manicure.

To create the look of a diamond I decided to do gradient nails with an icy blue ombre-ing into silver hologram. I then layered several silver glitters of varying density and size, to mirror the different cuts in a diamond and the way the light reflects off of them.

Sadly I don’t have a real diamond ring!

Here are the nail polishes I used, in the order they were layered on:

• Illamasqua – Caress
• GOSH – 549 Holographic Hero (special edition)
• Models Own – Juicy Jules
• Models Own – Southern Lights
• Models Own – Blizzard

I’m really pleased with this mani! I think it looks really pretty, and fits the theme of Glitz and Glam well. I really like glitter tip nails, and this cool blue colour means that it’s not too jazzy for work either. 

I’ve enjoyed taking part in the #NailArtWeeklyProject so much, thanks Danni for setting it up! It’s been so fun to design my nails to fit the theme each week, and I’ve loved looking at everyone else’s posts too. I hope you’ve all enjoyed reading my posts!
