Totally turquoise, totally amazing!
I’m having some festival fun this weekend so wanted something bright, bold and funky to wear on my nails. Lucky for me this is my usual nail polish look, so I had plenty to choose from in my collection! I decided it would be the perfect time to try out my new Barry M Gelly Hi-Shine Nail Paint in Greenberry which I picked up a couple of weeks ago.
This colour is absolutely FABULOUS! Such a loud and lairy turquoisey green – perfect for a festival look, and is such a pretty shade its incredibly wearable for day to day real life too!
As with the other Barry M Gelly paints I’ve tried, it applied well. It was a tad gloopier than Dragonfruit which made it slightly harder to apply and left a bit of tracking / slight bald spots, but overall it coated the nail nicely.
The colour is very intense, none of this nonsense nail polish, which looks incredible in the bottle but comes out translucent and muted on the nail! Its as bold and brassy on the nail as it is in the bottle! Perfect! I had thought it may only need one coat due to the wonderful pigmentation, but I went for two to smooth out the couple of bald patches I had from it being a bit of a gloopy consistency. Please don’t let my mention of this gloopiness put you off either, it’s still a wonderful addition to my collection and a polish I can see myself reaching for again and again! I think maybe I just need a bit more practice working with it to get the perfect finish.
I would definitely recommend Greenberry. It’s a brilliantly bright colour which looks great in the sunshine and adds a bit of life to any outifit. The hi-shine finish makes the colour pop even more and gives it a really chic finish, which as it only cost £3.99 is pretty darn good!
