I like to think I’ve been relatively good this year so I thought it would be fun to chance my luck and put together a little wish list of things that would tickle my tinsel if discovered under my tree this Christmas! Dear Santa…
I got a sample size of the famous Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara in my Love Me Beauty box back in the summer and was so impressed. It really does give my eyelashes a huge boost, giving me amazing volume and length like no other mascara has done before. I’ve seen special promotional packs in Debenhams which offer Twice The Sex – including a sample size free with the full sized tube. Banging!
Keeping on the beauty train, I’ve been lusting after MAC Snob for the better half of this year, and MAC Brave for the other half! Jess (Copper Garden) wears Snob in lots of her videos and I’m always really taken by the pretty purple pink colour and love that it’s a satin finish so won’t dry my lips out too much. Brave also looks stunning – a gorgeous neutral pink shade which will take me through all types of occasions in 2016.
I tried some of this out in store the other day and was so impressed with how moisturised my hands felt afterwards. I suffer from really dry hands in the winter and this would help keep them soft and supple.
Who doesn’t love a good handbag eh?! My vintage Longchamp cross body bag is looking a little too vintage if you know what I mean, and I absolutely adore this saffiano leather offering by Vivienne Westwood. Look how pretty! The rose gold hardware is simply stunning. Garment Quarter sells an incredible range of Vivienne Westwood bags so is the perfect place to look if you want a classic but statement piece.
I’m a creature of habit (read: old and set in my ways!) and like to have the same diary every year. The classic small soft back Moleskine diary is the perfect size for carrying around everywhere and helps keep all my appointments and activities scheduled.
I’ve become a little bit obsessed with the documentary Blackfish this year – I wanted to be a marine biologist and orca trainer when I was little and Blackfish has completely resparked my fascination with the animals. I read Beneath the Surface earlier this year which is written by one of the former Seaworld trainers who featured in the documentary. I loved learning more about the behaviour of whales and it was very interesting to hear an insiders view point on their sad mistreatment at the water parks I loved to visit as a child. Death at Seaworld continues to explore the argument for emptying the tanks and I’d very much like to learn more about it.
I may be turning 30 in just a couple of months (WHY SANTA WHY?!) but you’re never too old for a bit of Disney! I absolutely adored Inside Out when I saw it at the cinema earlier this year and would love it to add to my Disney DVD collection.
One of the reasons I loved Inside Out is how much it spoke to adults and actually tackled some pretty big issues. Sadness was my absolute favourite from the film and think she’d definitely help keep the blues away in 2016.
No explanation needed. YUM!
I live in Brixton in London. I eat out far too much, am always planning my next trip and have a borderline unhealthy obsession with Harry Potter.
