Can you believe it’s March already?! I had a really brilliant February and since my last InstaLIFE post I have been to Paris and Disneyland Paris with my boyfriend, and also a weekend away by the seaside with my girlfriends. I’ve also squeezed in a trip to the cinema, bought some new MAC goodies and finally tried out my new KitchenAid!
Just before Christmas I got ridiculously, crazily lucky on Twitter and I WON A KITCHENAID! I still can’t believe it! Late Night London were granting Christmas wishes and I couldn’t believe that mine was picked as I have always dreamed of owning a KitchenAid to help my with my baking. A Christmas miracle indeed! I had it delivered to my parents house and it didn’t arrive until the end of January and I didn’t actually see my parents until my birthday on Valentine’s Day, so I have only just had my first go with it. My goodness it is AMAZING! My boyfriend always laughs at me as my bakes usually turn out ok, but they take me FOREVER to complete. Not any more! The KitchenAid does all the hard work so you just putyour ingredients in and let it do its thing! I love it so much, thank you Late Night London you really did make my Christmas, birthday and year!
My lovely boyfriend took me to Paris for my birthday and our favourite part of the trip was going to see the Eiffel Tower at night. It is just so so pretty and looks so spectacular all lit up. Every hour on the hour the lights also sparkle and glitter for a few minutes which was amazing! We waited out in the cold for about half an hour to catch this but it was so worth it! I posted a video of the prettiness on my Instagram and literally can’t stop watching it! I might do a blog post about our adventures over the weekend so let me know if you’d like to read that.
After badgering my boyfriend for six years, he finally gave in and we went to Disneyland Paris for the day too. I’ve been a couple of times before and last time I went was with my girlfriends for four days when we were 18. Tony and I had a really good time but did feel that a lot of the park was looking quite old and tired now, and in need of a little pick me up. Sleeping Beauty’s castle was still so magical though and I loved running around with my sequinned Minnie Mouse ears on all day!
Now to get Tony to Florida…!
Spring is well and truly on the way, and we’ve even had a bout of sunshine and warm weather this weekend hurrah! Whilst walking to work the other day I strolled past these pretty candy coloured houses and just thought they looked so perfect!
On Wednesday my girlfriends and I finally went to see 50 Shades of Grey at the cinema and I have to say the soundtrack is far better than the film – I can’t stop listening to it! I quite enjoyed the movie but am not sure I’d be bothered to pay to see the next ones that come out and will probably wait until they come onto DVD. Jamie Dornan is a bit of alright though isn’t he?!
Yep, that’s me dressed as Noddy! Check out that forehead. Blimey! It was World Book Day on Thursday so I thought it only right that I dug out this funny little pic of my friend Shona and I getting ready to go to school for WBD about twenty years ago wahhhh I’m so old! I loved Enid Blyton books when I was little so decided to go as Noddy and how good does Shona look as Where’s Wally?! I’ve been really busy so far in 2015 that I haven’t actually read anything yet this year which is pretty terrible! I will try to remedy this asap and hopefully bring you more book reviews soon as I love a good read.
You can never have too much MAC in your life can you?! I’ve been coveting Heroine for quite some time and told myself I’d buy it when I was in Paris but as I bought so many other bits in Sephora (haul coming soon) I decided it could wait until next payday. Who was I kidding?! One of my favourite bloggers, Kirstie at A Yellow Brick Blog (go check her out she’s amazing!) posted a code for free next day delivery and a free mascara sample – MACTREAT – so of course I had to place an order!
My girlfriends and I try to go for a weekend away every year and usually pick somewhere along the coast where we can go for a good walk, visit a quaint tea shop and just generally be silly, have a good giggle and catch up. This year we stayed in Rye and went for a mammoth walk along the beach at Dungeness. It was amazing to be beside the sea side, get some fresh air and take in the amazing landscape. I think I’m going to do a full post about our walk as we had so much fun and it really is a very striking landscape, which is featured in lots of music videos (so of course we had a little “album covers” themed photoshoot of our own!) We were so lucky with the weather and the bright blue sky and wispy clouds made everything even more photogenic!
As well as a music album photoshoot, we also had so much fun trying to capture the perfect jumping photo, which has become one of our weekend away traditions. We took an absolute ton, some better than others but I think these are such fab photos, and are absolutely hilarious when you zoom in on everyone’s faces!
So much love for these girlies ♥
I’ve had such a fun beginning to the year, I really need to get some trips and events planned for springtime and summer!
What fun things have you got coming up?
