I blimmin love a Christmas jumper! Last Friday was Christmas Jumper Day in the UK, where everyone was encouraged to wear their favourite festive knit and contribute £2 to Save the Children. My office took part this year huzzah and of course I had to take things one step further by joining in with a cracking snowflake Christmas jumper print manicure too didn’t I?!
I bought these nail decals from eBay and they were super cheap at only £1.69. They’re not the best quality decals I’ve ever used however, and I found they didn’t stick to the nail too well so slipped off a few times during application. As you can see they also ripped a bit when I popped the top coat on to seal them in place. This time it looks like I got what I paid for! Oh well, they still look quite pretty!
I decided to layer them over one of my favourite festive polishes – Scarlet Sparkle by Models Own (which I featured in my Festive Favourite Nail Polishes the other week). This is such a gorgeous red with a good smattering of ruby glitter. Just perfect for the Christmas season!
Despite the imperfections from applying, I love the finished look of this mani – the white fairisle print wraps really stand out against the bright glittery red and it’s such a simple way to get in the festive spirit this Christmas.
Did you taking part in Christmas Jumper Day this year?
