As it all gets a little bit hectic around December I decided to do an InstaLIFE post once a fortnight rather than weekly in the lead up to Christmas. Here’s what I’ve been up to in the last couple of weeks…
It was my mum’s birthday in May and to celebrate I bought her tickets to see Paloma Faith at the Hammersmith Apollo. After 6 months of waiting, it was finally time for the concert and she was definitely worth the wait! She was absolutely incredible live and I would recommend anyone to go see her. The crowd was made up of all ages and Paloma got everyone up on their feet dancing. I will definitely be trying to get tickets for her arena tour next year!
I mentioned in my last InstaLIFE post that I’d been on my friend Tori’s hen do. As part of her present we all gave her a book filled with photos of her and her hens with each friend having their own separate page to write a lovely message in. I loved my page as it had loads of photos from when Tori and I went travelling including dressing up as beer men, doing a bungy swoop together and messing around with Janelle from Neighbours. Good times!
I decided to finally order some business cards as Moo had 25% off everything. I was really impressed with my service, especially as when mine arrived a few of them had a grey splodge printed on them so they immediately sent me out another batch free of charge. I’m really happy with my design and have been loving being able to hand them out when meeting brands so far.
It was my friends birthday so we went to Masala Zone in Covent Garden to celebrate. Covent Garden is always so beautiful at Christmas time with some of the nicest decorations in London. This year there is an amazing model of Santa in his sleigh being pulled by his reindeer… All made out of Lego! And you can even step up and join Santa in his sleigh. Loved. It! (And don’t worry, he assured me I’m on the Nice List this year!)
Ever since I was little I’ve always wanted to make a gingerbread house at Christmas. I think they look so lovely and festive and really fun to make, however I never seem to get round to it! Last year I got as far as making the gingerbread but not to actually assembling and decorating it, so this year I’m thrilled that the lovely people at Hobbycraft have sent me a kit to help me along the way. I’m so excited to try this out and will of course share it with you here and let you see how I get on!
Despite living in London forever, I’ve never actually been inside St Paul’s Cathedral. I can’t quite believe this myself as it is one of my favourite London landmarks and puts a huge smile on my face whenever I see it. On Thursday evening we had a work trip to the Cathedral to enjoy the Evensong service. It was really lovely and amazing to finally see inside! It was absolutely stunning and we got to sit up with the choir which is closed to the general public, so I felt doubly lucky to get to see this part of the Cathedral close up. It’s free to go inside and to attend the services so I definitely recommend a visit next time you’re near.
I love looking back at photos of Christmases past and this is one of my faves – perfect for a bit of Throwback Thursday action. I’ve actually published this on my blog before as part of last year’s The Christmas Tag but I never grow tired of my brothers oh-so-nineties curtains hairstyle and my super stylish tree print pyjamas!
Yesterday I went to see Singalong Frozen YES!!! It was absolutely brilliant (obvs) and was so great to see my little cousins. My friend and I couldn’t resist a little selfie with Anna and Elsa afterwards! I did a little bit of Frozen shopping before hand which was meant to go live on here on Friday but **someone** forgot to press publish so come back and check it out tomorrow instead!
My lovely friend Tasha came to see Frozen with me which was brilliant as we always have such a laugh together! We’ve known each other since we were three and don’t get to see each other that often but when we do it’s like we’ve never been apart – true best friends! One of my favourite things about Tash is that she is the only person I know who gets as excited about Christmas (and as early) as I do! We went out for dinner earlier in the week too and I confessed that I’d never seen the movie Elf (I know I know, who am I?!) so my lovely little Christmas fairy gave me a copy for Christmas thanks Tashie! I literally cannot wait to watch this!
I hope you’re all having a good December my little elves! Leave me your Instagram names below so I can see how you’re getting ready for The Big Day!
18 sleeps to go!
