It’s a bit of a food-heavy round up this week (diet starts on Monday…)and also lots of birthday excitement as it’s my boyfriend’s 30th today (wooo happy birthday Toto!) Let’s have a look shall we…
Last Sunday I spent SIX HOURS shopping on Oxford Street trying to buy the last few bits for my boyfriends 30th birthday presents. It was a long long day but I did enjoy my trip to Selfridges food hall. It’s one of my favourite places to have a wander – roll on Christmas time when it’s even more amazing! – and there’s always something to look at and drool over. As well as picking up a few bits for my boyfriend I did stop and stare at these HUGE meringues!
The last thing I felt like doing after shopping for so long was cooking and luckily my best friend Faye came to the rescue by inviting us over to dinner for a homemade chicken and ham pie and some incredible black millionaires shortbread. They were made with treacle to give an incredible dark colour and rich flavour. Delicious!
My friend sent me this Mean Girls inspired quote and I absolutely love it! You go Glen Coco!!!
I was lucky enough to win this fabulous pair of croc effect pumps from Next in a twitter competition a few weeks ago. I have been wearing them non stop since as they are just so so comfy! Thanks Next!
I was so excited when I received a big square box in the mail on Wednesday, and was even more excited when I opened it up to find this adorable baking kit inside. The lovely folk at Topps Tiles have asked me to design an Autumnal pudding as part of theirNational Baking Week competition and sent this cute pink mixing bowl and utensil kit as well as brownie mix from Katie Bakes to help me along my way. I have started to plan my pud and would love to win the competition as not only is the prize £250 to spend at Topps Tiles (helloooo new bathroom!) but also my dream kitchen appliance – a Kitchen Aid food mixer. Swoon!! I’ll be posting my pudding on my blog during National Baking Week, 13 – 19th October, so keep your eyes peeled and fingers crossed for me!
On Friday I rediscovered my Rimmel Apocalips collection and went for the gorgeous orange toned red Stellar. I love this colour and will definitely be digging out the rest of my collection to play with again too. I think I might even do a post about them soon if that’s something you’d like to see? Let me know below.
On Friday night my boyfriend had his 30th birthday party woooo! We went for dinner at our favourite pizza restaurant Stingray Cafe along with 25 of our best friends and then for drinks afterwards. I decided that there was only one type of birthday cake to be served at a pizza party – one that is decorated to look like a pizza! I was so pleased with how it turned out and will have a post up about it tomo!
I was super excited on Saturday when the postman knocked on my door and presented me this this stunner! Last week I won a twitter competition with Elegant Touch and their new Lily Allen Lily Loves range which includes 2 sets of Lily Loves false nails and a fabulous phonecase. Thanks guys I can’t wait to get wearing these bad boys!
As it is my boyfriend’s 30th birthday I decided to go all out and buy him 30 presents to mark the occasion. It took me two and a half hours to wrap them all up and label them with special tags I made with different pictures of him on. Lots of people on Instagram were asking to see what I bought so I think I may do a little post on that too.
