As I mentioned in this week’s InstaLIFE post I was very excited to go to the Bloggers Love Bloggers Fashion Week last Tuesday hooray! I went to BLFW in March and had a really good time meeting so many bloggers and brands, and couldn’t wait to go to this season’s event – especially I had been invited to attend as a Very Important Blogger yeehhaaaaa!
As a VIB I was invited along early for a special Beauty Box activity, along with lovely bloggers Donalyn from Love From Twinkle, Katie from Kalanchoe, Em from My Pale Skin, Beth from Beauty in Beta, April from Beautiface, Monica from Moth Loves, Vicky from Lots of Love Me, Kiran from Gemini Fatale and Sarah from Loved by Sarah. As well as having a good old gossip, and admiring the incredible view from The Penthouse, we also got to meet the teams from Leighton Denny and Beauty Works and pick some items for our very own BLFW Beauty Boxes.
How adorable is this card?! I’m definitely going to pop this in a frame and keep it!
Leighton Denny had some stunning mini polishes and I was lucky enough to pick up one of each in a red, fuschia and nude tone, which I can’t wait to try (look out for a Midweek Manicure post featuring these bad boys soon!) I’ve not tried Leighton Denny polishes before but love how involved Leighton himself is in creating each colour as apparently he always has input in producing each shade and often even names them himself! The girls from Beauty Works showed us their range of hair pieces and extensions and whilst I didn’t pick up any of these I was given one of their new mixed bristle hairbrushes which are supposed to be great at smoothing flyaway hair and also encouraging healthy growth by massaging the scalp, removing dirt and distributing the hair’s natural oils evenly. Thanks guys!
It was then time for everyone else to arrive and we headed downstairs to the gifting lounge where even more brands had set up.
How funky are these hats by Capture Love?! I was lucky enough to be gifted the red and white one in the front row….which also LIGHTS UP! You can see more about that HERE.
Donalyn and I fell in love with these beautiful feathered shoes by Sound Chick Accessories. We were also kindly given some beautiful feather earrings each, which I can’t wait to style.
How adorable is this bee bangle and matching ring?! I fell in love with these at the Vins Boutique stand, and couldn’t believe how reasonably priced they were.
Who doesn’t want to be a Disney Princess?! This Dante tiara by Nina Rai Couture was so pretty and I felt just like Elsa from Frozen when wearing it!
I loved the fabrics and details Verity Warr uses in her designs.
Ellie Air was one of the brands I was most excited to meet at BLFW. I love their simple and elegant silver jewellery, and I was so excited that I was allowed to choose one of their classic rings to take home with me. I will have a post up about this very soon so won’t reveal which one I picked just yet.
I loved checking out the bright, bold prints from Major London and thought this oversized snake skin scuba top was really cool
There was then time to grab some tasty treats and admire the view before it was time to start the fashion show.
As a VIB I was lucky enough to have a reserved seat on the front row, so I didn’t miss any of the catwalk action! The clothes modelled were by Cheshire based brand Didi’s Boutique and trendy Australian brand Rocco Fashion. You can see some of my favourite looks from the runway below.
Here’s a little peek at what I wore to the event:
Silver Aztec style statement necklace – New Look
Black blazer – Oasis
White embossed detail top – River Island
Black Jeggings – Marks and Spencers
Shoes – New Look
I live in Brixton in London. I eat out far too much, am always planning my next trip and have a borderline unhealthy obsession with Harry Potter.
