At the beginning of the year, I let you know that I had officially changed my blog name to emsypickle (rather than Thinking Outside The Pickle Jar). I had been umming and aahhing about it for a while and thought TOTPJ really was a bit long and not really right for my blog anymore. Then I saw I had 50 followers on Bloglovin‘ and thought I’d better do it quick if I was going to do it! Well…fast forward 6 weeks and I now have nearly 200 Bloglovin’ followers (thank you all so much!!) so I thought it was time to take the next step and register my own domain name.
Don’t worry, I’m not changing my header again, the above is just a nice visual in yer face way to show you my new URL! (and I hope a much prettier way than giving you a screen print of the address bar!) I love how much shorter and cleaner my URL is now (and how much quicker it is to type!)
I bought my domain name from GoDaddy! which was really simple and mega cheap – I’d def recommend going through them if you are looking to do the same. I then used this article found on the fabulous Wonder Forest blog to help me redirect my old emsypickle.blogspot.co.uk URL to my nice new emsypickle.co.uk one. Thank you Wonder Forest!
I can’t believe I have nearly 200 followers on Bloglovin’ thank you all so so much! It still amazes me that anyone other than my mum reads my blog (hi Mum!) and it really does mean the world to me.
I live in Brixton in London. I eat out far too much, am always planning my next trip and have a borderline unhealthy obsession with Harry Potter.
