Beat the January blues
This week I have a black tie event for work, so wanted to keep my mani simple yet sophisticated. The dress I’m wearing is a navy blue colour, with black sequinned panels across the top (see below!), so I’m going a bit matchy-matchy (which I usually hate doing) with a safe and smart navy blue nail to match; enter Nails Inc The Serpentine.
This is a gorgeous deep inky blue colour which I really like. Its perfect for work and special occasions when you want to channel a more sophisticated style.
However, I don’t tend to wear this polish very often, because I find it chips so easily 🙁 Being such a dark colour even the smallest chips notice massively and leave you with a pretty messy mani. I got Seche Vite top coat for Christmas (review coming soon) so fingers crossed it seals the deal, and keeps my nails looking neat at least until the end of my work dinner!
|Ignore the cap, seems to have gotten a bit bashed up in my Nail Varnish Basket!|
What top coat do you use to stop your polish from chipping?
