We’re all familiar with the concept of beauty box subscriptions but have you heard of a jewellery box subscription?! Didn’t think so and that’s because Wiftyis a completely new service which has launched this month. Gaelle from Wifty sent me their first box to check out and I thought you lovely lot would like a look too!
Wifty is the brainchild of Gaelle Comte who struggled last Christmas to find unique gifts for friends and family. Having subscribed herself to a beauty box, Gaelle decided to apply the same principals to a jewellery service, to bring unusual and handmade accessories – many of which are designed exclusively for Wifty – to people looking for that something special. Each box contains 2-3 accessories hand chosen by Gaelle and her team.
My Wifty Box package arrived in a neat little white cardboard box with an old skool (yes I just said old skool) Wifty.co.uk plastic label stuck onto it. I was OBSESSED with label makers when I was little (don’t pretend you weren’t) so was already mega excited! I opened it up and was presented with the most adorable sight ever!
Nestled on a bed of cardboard straw were two little pink parcels with cutesy stickers, a silver polishing cloth, calendar postcard and a sweet little thank you card. The packaging was so pretty I almost didn’t want to open it... almost! Obviously I couldn’t hold out for long and was delighted to find some cute little hair slides in one packet and a pair of beautiful silver earrings in the other.
The September postcard was really cute and I have stuck it next to my desk as a nice calendar. Its a lovely little addition to the jewellery in the box and shows how much thought Gaelle has put into designing her Wifty boxes. The back of the card gives details about the designers of my new jewellery, which I also thought was a really nice touch. One of the cool things about buying from independent designers is that you can learn the story behind their designs and it was really lovely to discover how and why the pieces in my Wifty Box were created.
My silvery earrings were designed by Dagmara who designs her own jewellery using rhodium after finding herself allergic to most metals. I love the abstract cut out design and think they’re perfect for a jewellery subscription box as they’re quite simple and classic to suit all tastes. The single silver colour makes them elegant and they’d look gorgeous with a formal dress, but their simplicity also means they’d look lovely dressed down with jeans and a white t shirt too. I also received a Talk Town sliver polishing cloth which will be great to keep my earrings tarnish free and sparkly! I think this inclusion again shows Gaelles thoughtfulness when selecting the pieces for her September Wifty Box.
The bird hair clips are so cute and remind me of Cinderella’s feathered friends! I love the bright colours and think both the yellow and turquoise work well with the coppery colour of the metal. These were designed by Dorothy Days, a Dorset based brand.
I think the two items work really well together – one simple and classic, the other more fun and jazzy – meaning the box will work for all personality types and tastes, and also might encourage people to try things that are not their usual style.

I live in Brixton in London. I eat out far too much, am always planning my next trip and have a borderline unhealthy obsession with Harry Potter.
