Happy New Year Midweek Manicure fans! So after a short break, I’m back on the Midweek Manicure posts 🙂 You can see the nails I wore over Christmas HERE – which, if I do say so myself, features some pretty fabulous festive nail art – with a little help from some water decal and nail stickers! So anyway, on with the 2014 mani love – this week’s involves GLITTER TIPS!!!

I wanted to do an upbeat (read: sparkly) manicure for the first Midweek Manicure post of January, and thought a bright base with sparkly glitter tips would do the job nicely!

I used NYC In A New York Minute Quick Dry Nail Polish in Blue Sky for my base colour, which is a stunning creme turquoise colour. I then reached for one of all time fave glitters – Models Own Southern Lights (multicoloured particles in a greyish / purple base)for the spangly tips. I added these free hand, so they’re not the neatest!

I love the look of this manicure! It’s so bright and jazzy, and cheers up even the bleakest of January blues!
