I absolutely love Modalu bags. I have a couple (the shark coloured large Pippa bag, and a cappuccino coloured small Pippa grab bag) and they are beautifully made. The leather is soft and buttery, the detailing is exquisite and they are always set at a really good and affordable price point (especially their sale items – woah nelly you can pick up a bargain there!) So whilst browsing the TK Maxx website the other day, I was super excited to find that they now stock a selection of Modalu bags and purses. I just couldn’t bypass this beautiful handbag which was a snip at only £80!
The bag is no longer available at Modalu.com, but it was originally £185, and called the Chantilly Cappuccino Grab. TK Maxx are selling it for £99 but a weekend promotion on designer handbags meant it was reduced down to £80 – AND with free postage and packing. BARGAIN!
I love the light tan colour of the leather, it’s so classic and perfect for wearing all year round. My other tan Modalu bag has gold hardware, but I really like the silver hardware on this bag. The metal corners on the front pouch give it a bit of attitude, and the silver shell logo is really cute.
It’s a really great size with heaps of room inside, so it’s practical as well as pretty! It’s got a front pouch, sealed with a popper, which is perfect for popping my keys and Oyster Card in, and also a secret zip at the back which has a lovely big tassel on the zipper. The main inside compartment has an inner zip, as well as a phone compartment and larger open compartment, where I always stash chewing gum and lipstick! It’s secured with a top zip, which means it’s great for taking on the tube in London (can never be too careful!) and also helps keep the rain out! The bag is fully lined with a light grey fabric with the signature shell logo, which gives it a really high end feel.
Even though I bought the bag from TK Maxx, it still came complete with authentication card and branded dust bag, which I always like to have 🙂
I live in Brixton in London. I eat out far too much, am always planning my next trip and have a borderline unhealthy obsession with Harry Potter.
