Fashion // Venus With Love Personalised V Locket

I love jazzing up my look with jewellery and my biggest weakness is a good necklace! Long, short, chunky, delicate - you name the style, I love it! I find a good necklace can completely transform and complete an outfit and I literally cannot leave the house without one! I was recently contacted by Venus With Love who create bespoke personalised jewellery and lockets and am so excited to have one of their beautiful pieces to wear and share with you all. After all, the only thing better than jewellery is personalised jewellery!

Venus With Love's personalised V Lockets* are such an amazing idea and are so perfect for giving to a loved one (or yourself!) to mark a special occasion. Much like a charm bracelet, they allow you to completely customise your piece to perfectly suit your taste and personality. Their lockets come in black, silver, gold and rose gold and each comes plain or diamond encrusted. You can also choose what colour chain you'd like it to hang off and decide whether to add a back plate with a stamped message or keep it transparent. So many options! Then comes the best bit - picking your charms to fill your locket! There are so many different options to choose from and there will definitely be something for everyone!

I am absolutely loving rose gold at the moment (who isn't?!) and decided to go for the large rose gold V Locket strung on a matching chain. I decided to keep it simple, not adding a backplate, so my necklace would take on a different look depending on what I wore underneath it. Then came the fun (and really difficult part) - choosing my charms! I wanted them all!

The website is really handy and gives recommendations for the number of charms to choose for each sized locket, and suggested between 6 and 8 for the large size. It took me a loooooong time to pick, but in the end I went for silver sparkly letters E, L and B (my initials) a beautiful Fleur de Lis (which was the emblem of the American summer camp I worked at and what I really want as a tattoo) a feather (which to me always symbolises one of my greatest passions - travel) a camera (to represent my other big passion - blogging!) and a little sparkling amethyst coloured stone set in silver which is my birthstone. It's so nice to have jewellery which not only looks great but is really meaningful too, and it's a real luxury to be able to customise every aspect of a piece of jewellery, like you can with a V Locket.

I was so thrilled when my necklace arrived and couldn't believe how pretty it all looked together. I was a little nervous the rose gold and silver might clash slightly or not work with the amethyst birthstone or black camera but I needed'nt have worried as they all come together beautifully! I've worn it so many times in the last couple of weeks and always get so many compliments from people, who are even more impressed when I tell them it is completely unique and designed and customised just for me.

Despite being super affordable (charms range from £1.50 - £3.00 each and the locket itself from £9 to £32) the Venus With Love jewellery is so well made. The V Locket is clasped together with a strong magnet which keeps it really secure but also means you can open it up and switch the charms around if you want to. I think this is a really nice touch as you could totally buy people charms to add to their collection, and mix and match which ones you wear to create new looks.
