A little while ago I was lucky enough to review a pretty purple nail polish by Binky London – the brainchild of Made in Chelsea favourite Alexandra “Binky” Felstead. I loved the quality and colour of the product and am so excited that they’ve now expanded their collection to include lipsticks and other cosmetics too – hurrah! The Binky babes have kindly sent me three lipsticks which I am very excited to share with you today. There are 8 shades in the collection and the ones I have to try are Pout* (No.1), Bloom* (No.3) and Chilli* (No.6).
L:R – Pout, Bloom, Chilli |
Pout is my favourite of the three lipsticks as I just adore a purple lip and this one is so wearable. It’s more of a violet toned pink than a true purple and has a slightly frosted finish. It reflects the light just enough that the frost is not too overpowering. It’s a great everyday colour and has a lovely creamy consistency. Pout wears quite well – a good few hours before needing reapplication and even as it fades it does so evenly, leaving lips with a pretty purple-pink stain. This is a great low maintenance colour for work or school. Big thumbs up for this one Binky!
Bloom is a frost finish peachy pink with lots of silver glitter particles in – lovely for spring! Glittery lipsticks aren’t usually my favourite to wear but I think it works well with this shade and I felt like a ballerina princess when wearing it, especially with my hair tied up in a bun! The frost and glitter actually faded fairly soon and I was left with pretty peach lips with the odd speck of sparkle here and there, so even if you’re not usually a fan of glitters, this could be a good lipstick for you! I was surprised by how pigmented the coral colour was too – one slick and you’re good to go!
Chilli is a satin finish orangey red which is one of the most wearable reds in my collection. It’s a very pretty shade which doesn’t look too bold and bright and also manages not to make my teeth look really yellow! Hurrah! Chillilasted a good 4 hours before needing to be reapplied and faded pretty evenly too. The only time I found I had a dreaded ring left around my lips was after eating a Wagamamas with a lot of noodle chomping and napkin dabbing! During the day however it wore well and left my lips with a pretty tint as it faded. The only thing I will say with this lipstick is that you definitely need to wear it with a lip liner as, like most bold colours, feathering was noticeable.
I’m so impressed with these Binky London lipsticks, for only Β£2.95 they’re a real bargain! I found them all really moisturising and I also like that they have clear panel on the lid so you can easily see which is which no matter which way up you store them. Big smiles all rounds π
Have you tried any of the Binky London lipsticks?
