Midweek Manicure | Little Mix by Collection - Perrie's Nail Polish

Move to get these nail polishes!

You may have seen at the beginning of the month that I FINALLY got my hands on the much coveted Perrie lipstick from the Little Mix by Collection range (review here). I instantly fell in love, and thought I'd have to check out the nail varnishes from the collection too. Last week I did a little Superdrug haul, and picked up Perrie's Nail Polish. Now would it capture my heart like the lipstick did?

I really like the colour of Perrie's Polish. It's a deep dark reddy purple plum colour - gorgeous for Autumn. It looks like a rich reddy brown in the bottle, but comes out much darker and more purple toned on the nail, with the red tints only coming through in direct sunlight. The colour on the nail is still so pretty though, I wasn't too bothered that it looks slightly different to the bottle.

It dries with a good shine, adding to it's sophisticated and glamorous appearance. It certainly doesn't look like a £1.99 nail polish on first glance!

It didn't apply as well as I'd have liked unfortunately. It went on quite streakily and patchy, and I had to use three coats to get the coverage below. This means it sits quite thick and heavy on the nail, and you can see some areas where it clung to the naill, and others where it is thinner. This means it will probably chip more too. Still, for £1.99, and a very pretty colour, you can't complain too much!

Little Mix are huge right now, and I think their make up collection will be great for Christmas gifts! Whether for little cousins / sisters who like the band, or older friends and family with a penchant for beauty bits and bobs, they'd make really fun and pretty presents - perfect for Secret Santa gifts. I really like the little motto on the packaging too!

Have you tried any of the Little Mix nail varnish?
