Fashion | New Look Black Cowboy Western Ankle Boots

Bootiful boots!

So anyone who knows me will tell you that I have a serious addiction to ankle boots. I just love them! They go with everything, can perfectly dress up, funk up or play down any outfit, and are also breathable enough so your feet don't swelter, yet cover your whole foot area to keep you warm and dry. What's not to love?!  Whilst on my ever present quest to discover new ankle boots I found these lovely black Cowboy Western Boots from New Look in the ASOS sale.

Beauty | Nails Inc - Luminous Red Gloss

White teeth and red tips

As we know I’m a big fan of nail varnish and I love it when I brands do limited edition shades, particularly when they’re given away free with another product! Nails Inc are particularly good for this, and I have lots of lovely shades in my collection which I've gotten as free gifts when buying InStyle Magazine and Diet Coke to name a couple. So I was over the moon when I went into Boots to buy some toothpaste and saw you got a free Luminous Red Gloss Nails Inc polish with every purchase of Colgate Max White One toothpaste.

Beauty | Malibu Continuous Spray Dry Oil Spray

The quest for the perfect tan

As you may have seen in my earlier posts, I've just returned back from getting some late summer (or beginning of Autumn?!) sun in Lanzarote. Ever on the quest for the beautiful golden tan, I thought I'd give Malibu Continuous Spray Dry Oil Spray a try.

Midweek Manicure | Barry M Gelly Hi-Shine Nail Paint - Papaya

Tropical nails for tropical weather

Obviously this tropical weather was actually enjoyed in sunny Lanzarote, rather than dreary London where I spent the last week on my holidays! I wanted a really bright, fun colour to wear in the sunshine and chose Barry M's Gelly Hi-Shine Nail Paint in Papaya.

Great British Bake Off Challenge | Week 4 - Pies &Tarts

Quiche Lorraine and Pastry Pain

I’m afraid I’m slightly behind on my GBBO posts due to holiday fun, but I will try and catch up asap! This week I tackled Pies & Tarts Week – one I’ve been looking forward to and dreading in equal measures as I’ve never made pastry before and someone on the show always manages to have a soggy bottom disaster! Hilarious when watching the bakers from home, but how would I fare when tasked with the challenge of making my own Quiche Lorraine?!

Lifestyle | iTunes Festival - Ellie Goulding (22/09/2013)

New girl crush alert!

I finally won tickets to the iTunes Festival HURRAH!! I enter every year, but never win, so I was pretty excited to be given some this year to see Ellie Goulding at the Roundhouse on Sunday 22nd October. I’ve always thought of Ellie as pretty non-descript, a bit wishy washy and just “that one with the raspy voice.” and thought it would just be a pleasant but pretty samey gig. Oh my Jason Statham how wrong I was! She literally blew me away last night, at one of the best gigs I've ever been to!

Hola guys and dolls! Sorry for the little blogging / social media break, but I've been off sunning myself in Lanzarote for the week!

The Great British Bake Off Challenge | Week 3 - Desserts

Desserts = stressed backwards, forwards, EVERY WHICH WAY!!

So here we are at week 3 of The Great British Bake Off Challenge and it's Desserts Week! Now if you watched the show on Tuesday you'll have heard Mel and Sue say that "Desserts is Stressed backwards", which pretty much summed up my dessert week challenge! I had grand plans of making my boyfriend a trifle (he LOVES trifle!) but have had a bit of a manic week and time got away from me, the freezers and fridges in my local supermarket were all broken so couldn't get any ingredients, and in the end I made some 5-Minute Mocha Yoghurt Pots using a recipe card I'd picked up in Waitrose!

Lifestyle | Restaurant Review - Cardigan Club Cafe, Tufnell Park

Tres ngon (Franco-Viet for “Very tasty”…well sort of!)

Cardigan Club Café has recently opened its doors in Tufnell Park so I decided to head in and sample their intriguing mix of French-Vietnamese street food! I’m a big fan of both French food and Vietnamese food, so couldn’t wait to see how a fusion of both would work!

Midweek Manicure | NYC New York Color - 112 Times Square Tangerine Creme

Tangerine Dream

With the sunshine making a welcome return this week I decided my nails needed a final burst of brightess too before summer disapears for yet another year. I found myself reaching for this NYC New York Color Long Wearing Nail Enamel in 112 Times Square Tangerine Creme. It's one I've had in my collection for so long, yet very rarely tend to wear, in fact I don't remember the last time I did wear it! I was little bit dubious when settling down to do my Midweek Mani - was there some forgotten reason why I never use this polish?

The Great British Bake Off Challenge | Week 2 - Bread

Get 'em quick, before they're scone!

Ooh blimey, week 2 and the bakers are already facing one of the toughest challenges - BREAD! Which means I too am facing it eek!! I loved watching the bakers make English Muffins, lovely loaves and wonderful wheats and thought they all did amazingly! I decided that as a bread beginner, having never actually made it, I would start with a simple dough design, and made Wensleydale Cheese Scones!

I don't be-Lieb it!

I'm very excited today as I have been nominated for the Liebster Award by the lovely Katie over at Thanks Katie! The Liebster Award is a way to give new bloggers with less than 200 followers more recognition, help their blogs grow and let their readers know more about them.  The Liebster Award is a really great way of sharing and discovering new blogs and bloggers, and I'm very excited to be taking part! I love reading these posts on other people's blogs, so hope you all enjoy reading mine :D
